ALSO: Does Devin AI have the potential to replace software engineers in the future?

Welcome Back again, Curious minds!

Sam Altman, the big brain behind OpenAI, dropped a truth bomb recently: we need to rethink our relationship with super-smart AI, like AGI and Strong AI, if we want a future where humans and machines aren't at each other's throats.

Not only this we will also be covered:

  • Claude iOS app is finally here

  • OpenAI partners with Stack Overflow

  • Was Rabbit R1 just an Android app all along?

  • Nvidia $30Bchips needed for Facebook AI project

  • AI Software Engineer Shows Promise But Raises Concerns

1. The Much-anticipated Claude iOS app is officially available for download

Claude in Action!

Anthropic launches Claude iOS app, bringing their chatbot to iPhone users!

Compared to the ChatGPT 3.5 free version, Claude's free version offers:

2. AI Engineer DEVIN Shows promise but needs improvement

Cognition Devin AI is super strong and can improve your work; it's not here to take your job but to support you. I wish I could try Devin myself. You have to use it to see how amazing it is.

If you aren’t familiar with Devin AI, watch this  video

Now here’s the twist in the tail, a seasoned software engineer named Santiago (on 𝕏), tested Devin this week on five projects, and shared their review:

  • Devin can handle tough problems by himself, which is good

  • However, Santiago notes limitations: it's slow, lengthy, and generates unnecessary code.

  • Santiago thinks Devin could change how we work, but it needs to be faster and make better code

3. It turns out Rabbit R1 was just an Android app.

Earlier this year, Rabbit R1 was introduced as a small AI device to answer questions. It's complimented for using Large Action Models to learn tasks in apps. At $200, it's an interesting idea for hands-free assistance.

If you aren’t familiar with Rabbit R1, watch this Video

Remember when the Rabbit R1 was announced, many questioned why it needed separate hardware instead of just being an app?

Here's the twist: it's just an app running on Android. 😁

4. ChatGPT gets a technical boost through a partnership with Stack Overflow

Stack Overflow, the popular online platform where programmers share their knowledge, is teaming up with OpenAI. The goal? To make AI smarter and more helpful by providing massive coding information on Stack Overflow.
